Disclosure

This page explains how Reptile Grove (https://reptilegrove.com) is funded, how its content is produced and what readers should keep in mind about its commercial relationships, editorial persona, images and information. It was last updated on October 6, 2026. It should be read with the Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy.

Our Approach to Disclosure

We want you to know who, if anyone, influences what appears on Reptile Grove. The approach is simple: we state our commercial relationships on this page and, if we ever add a material connection, we intend to disclose it clearly near the content or link that it affects, not only here. We aim to use plain wording and not to hide a disclosure in a place where a reader would not expect to see it. This page describes the facts about the Site as of the date above. It is a good-faith statement of our practices, and it is not a claim that the Site meets every legal or regulatory requirement in every place. If the facts change, we will update this page before or at the time the change takes effect.

Affiliate Relationships

Reptile Grove currently has no affiliate programs. No link on the Site is an affiliate link, and no link earns us a commission, fee or other payment if you click it or buy something. We have not confirmed enrollment in any retailer affiliate program, including the Amazon Associates program, and so we make no statements that depend on such participation. Articles may mention or link to equipment, foods or retailers where that helps explain a topic, but those mentions are not paid and are not tied to any referral arrangement. If we join an affiliate program in the future, we will say so on this page and will label affected links and articles clearly where a reader will see the label before clicking.

Advertising

The Site currently runs no advertising. There are no banner ads, sponsored placements, ad networks or paid listings, and we do not accept payment to feature a product, brand or breeder. The site currently has no paid placement arrangements of any kind. If advertising is added in the future, we will update this page, label ads so that they can be told apart from editorial content, and update the Privacy Policy to describe any related tracking.

Sponsorships

The Site currently has no sponsors and publishes no sponsored content. No company has paid for an article, a mention, a review, a ranking or any editorial coverage. If we publish sponsored material in the future, we will mark it clearly as sponsored at the top of the affected content and will identify the sponsor.

Compensation, Free Products and Material Relationships

We have not received money, free products, free services, discounts or other compensation from any breeder, retailer, equipment maker, feeder supplier, veterinary practice or other company in connection with the Site. We have no confirmed business, employment, ownership or family relationships with such companies that influence what we write. If we receive a free product, payment, sample or other compensation, or if we have a relationship that a reasonable reader would want to know about, we will disclose it clearly near the affected content and on this page. Receiving something would not guarantee favorable coverage.

Editorial Independence and Conflicts of Interest

Reptile Grove is a standalone informational blog, and its editorial decisions are made without payment or instruction from outside companies. Topic suggestions from readers are welcome and help shape what is covered, but sending a suggestion does not guarantee an article, and no one can buy coverage. When we discuss a product category or a care practice, we aim to describe what the sources say, including limits, disagreements and uncertainty, and not to promote a brand. The Site’s operators may hold their own opinions about reptile keeping, and our summaries involve judgment about which sources to rely on. If we learn of a conflict of interest that could reasonably affect our coverage, we will disclose it.

No Guaranteed Results, Savings or Performance

Nothing on the Site promises any result. We do not guarantee any health, growth, breeding or behavioral outcome for an animal, any savings on equipment or care, or any level of performance, safety, durability or suitability of a product. Reptiles are individuals, species differ widely, and a setup that suits one animal can harm another. Cost estimates and comparisons, where they appear, are general and may not match your situation. The Site makes no earnings or income claims, and it is not a business opportunity or a guide to making money from reptiles.

Research Methodology and Review Limitations

Our articles are produced by reading, comparing and summarizing published veterinary literature, biological and conservation sources, keeper literature and manufacturer information. We do not claim to have personally owned, bred, treated or tested the animals, foods and equipment we discuss, and we do not conduct hands-on testing of products. When we describe a product category or practice, we are describing what the sources say, and we try to note where the evidence is strong, where it is thin and where experienced keepers and veterinarians disagree. This method has limits. Sources can be outdated, can be based on small samples or on specific species and settings, and can be misread or oversimplified in a summary. Manufacturer information is written by the manufacturer and may be promotional. The Site does not publish customer testimonials or reader reviews. If we ever publish a testimonial or review, it will come from a real person, will reflect their genuine experience and will be identified honestly, and we will not fabricate or alter testimonials.

Editorial Persona and Illustrative Images

Maren Calloway, the editorial voice of Reptile Grove, is a fictional editorial persona. Her biography is an illustrative backstory and not a record of a real person, and her portrait is an illustration and not a photograph. She holds no veterinary or scientific credentials, does not keep animals at home and does not test products. The Site’s accuracy depends on the sources it relies on and on the care taken in reviewing them, not on her biography. The portrait and other illustrative images on the Site depict no real reviewer, veterinarian or specific animal unless an image is clearly labeled otherwise. They should not be treated as documentation of a particular setup, animal, product or result, and they are not evidence of real-world credentials, ownership or testing.

Product Specifications, Prices, Availability and Seller Responsibility

Product specifications, features, dimensions, wattage, prices, availability, warranties and safety information can change without notice and can differ by seller, model, region or production batch. The Site does not sell products, set prices or fulfill orders, and we do not control retailers or manufacturers. Any information about a product on the Site is general information taken from published sources and manufacturers, and it may be out of date. Before buying or using equipment, please check the current specifications, instructions, safety warnings, warranty terms and return policy with the seller or manufacturer. The seller and manufacturer, not Reptile Grove, are responsible for the product, the sale, shipping, returns and any warranty. A mention of a product is not a guarantee of its safety, quality or suitability.

Informational Purpose and Professional Advice

The content on Reptile Grove is educational. It is not veterinary, medical, legal, electrical or fire-safety advice, and it does not diagnose or prescribe or provide drug doses. Reptile keeping involves risks, including burns, fire and electrical hazards from heating equipment, eye and skin exposure from ultraviolet lighting, Salmonella and other zoonotic germs, bites and scratches, handling of live feeders, and local restrictions on ownership, shipping, breeding and sale. These risks are explained further in the Terms of Use. For any health concern about an animal, please consult a qualified reptile or exotics veterinarian, and for household health questions, such as risks for young children, pregnant people or immunocompromised people, please consult a physician or public health guidance. For equipment installation and wiring, consult a qualified professional and follow manufacturer instructions.

Accuracy, Updates, Errors and Corrections

We work to keep information accurate and current, but husbandry knowledge changes, and errors and omissions can occur. We do not guarantee that any article is complete, current or suitable for your animal. If you spot an error or know of a newer study, veterinary reference or conservation guideline that changes a recommendation, please send us the details and a link or citation through the contact form or by email. Specific, sourced corrections are the most useful kind. We review corrections as we are able, and we may correct, update, add a note to or remove content, but we do not promise to act on every report or to do so within a particular time. We do not promise to update older articles, and the date or context of an article may show that it reflects the sources available when it was written.

Placement of Disclosures Near Content

Because the Site currently has no affiliate links, advertising, sponsorships or compensation, there are no affected recommendations or links that need a label at this time. If that changes, we intend to place a clear disclosure close to the affected recommendation, link or article, and not only on this page or in the footer, using plain language that a reader can notice and understand before acting on it. If you see a link or recommendation that you think should be labeled and is not, please tell us.

Questions and Updates to This Disclosure

This Disclosure may be updated as the Site changes, and the date at the top shows when it was last revised. We do not send individual notices of changes, and we post them on this page. Questions about this page can be sent through the contact form or emailed to hello@reptilegrove.com. The contact form is enabled with Cloudflare Turnstile spam protection, and the mail routing for the address was reported ready at setup. End-to-end delivery on the live site has not been tested yet, so we cannot promise that a message will be delivered or read, and we do not promise a response time. We will update this page if that changes.
